About
SK — Santosh Katageri
Engineer
I learn engineering by building real systems, and I publish what I learn.
LearnWithSK is my engineering publication — finished articles on the blog and honest working notes in the journal. Everything here starts the same way: I build something real, hit the parts tutorials skip, and write down what I find.
Why LearnWithSK exists
Most engineering learning stops at the tutorial. The parts that actually build capability — designing under constraints, operating a real service, breaking things on purpose, defending the decisions you made — rarely fit into one place.
LearnWithSK is my attempt to fix that for myself and anyone following along:
- Blog for finished writing: explanations, architecture decisions, and lessons worth keeping.
- Journal for the working notes — what I'm learning, building, testing, breaking, or reconsidering right now.
What I'm working on now
- Currently building in public: Build, Break & Operate →
- Building the habit of publishing — working notes in the journal first, finished pieces on the blog.
- Designing the first structured course — it ships once the writing habit holds.
How I think about engineering
Application technology is replaceable. Engineering concepts — design, delivery, observation, failure, recovery — are not. Tools change; the reasoning behind them is what transfers.
