Why LearnWithSK exists

Tutorials are a useful start, but I learn more when I have to make decisions, operate a system, and work out why it broke.

LearnWithSK is where I document that work: the constraints, the failures, and the reasoning behind each fix.

• Blog — Articles on architecture decisions and engineering lessons, alongside shorter Field Notes from the work in progress.
• Focused Study Workspace — Learning paths, practical labs, and certification study packs. A place to work through a topic and keep track of what you understand.
• Projects — The systems and tools behind the writing, with links to the work and clear boundaries between what is available and what is planned.

Building in public

Build, Break & Operate follows Ship Boring, my DevOps-to-platform-engineering project with MicroBank. The roadmap starts with local VMs and containers, then moves through Kubernetes, GitOps, environment promotion, observability, and recovery.

I am documenting it stage by stage. Cloud deployments and a developer portal are part of that roadmap; the published build logs show the work so far.

Tools that support the work

I am also building DevPersonify, a tool for reviewing public GitHub work and turning career evidence into a profile README or résumé. It sits alongside the learning workspace: one helps you study, the other helps you explain what you have built.

Experience behind the work

At Oracle, I worked on deployment automation for OCI Data Catalog and the AI Data Platform, spanning approximately 100 regions.

How I think about engineering

Tools change. The reasoning behind a design, a deployment, or a recovery plan carries into the next system. That is what I try to understand and explain here.
