A Good Day of Building and Learning
Refreshing programming fundamentals, making progress on a side project, and giving LearnWithSK its own identity.
Today felt like a good day of building and learning.
Programming Foundations
I created the Programming Foundations crash course with Python.
The process of putting it together also helped me refresh a lot of my own programming concepts and brought back memories from the early days of my career.
There is something valuable about going back to the fundamentals. Concepts that once required deliberate thinking become familiar again, but revisiting them with today's perspective makes them feel different.
The goal for the course is simple: build enough foundational understanding to confidently move into the engineering courses that follow.
A side project
I also made good progress on a separate side project and continued planning for its soft launch.
There is still work ahead, but the direction is becoming much clearer. The focus now is on getting a meaningful V1 into people's hands rather than endlessly building.
Giving LearnWithSK Its Own Identity
Another important step today was separating the different kinds of content from LearnWithSK.
Learning courses, engineering writing, and personal journaling now have their own distinct places:
- Courses — structured learning
- Blog — polished engineering writing
- Journal — working and learning notes
This feels like an important step toward making LearnWithSK what I originally wanted it to be: a personal place to learn, build, write, and document the journey.
